Chef Danny R. Scarfone has been in the restaurant/catering business for the past 15 years. He owns and operates Bistro D Restaurant and Catering at DCOTA, DCOTA Hide-Away Cafe, the Royal Palm Cafe, located in the beautiful Royal Palm Office Building in Plantation, and the newest addition to his impressive list of restaurants,Scarfone's Coal Fired Pizza, slated to open late summer 2007, in Coral Springs, Florida.
Danny enjoyed being in the kitchen from an early age and with his strong Italian heritage, loved cooking for the entire family on holidays. His love for cooking never subsided... Over the span of his career, he has owned and operated more than 8 restaurants. Prior to the restaurant business, Danny worked in the hotel business and was the food and beverage director at the Sheraton Design Center Hotel.
Danny has catered nearly 2500 events in DCOTA. Some of which include, The Florida Grand Opera, Kids in Distress, Aids Project Florida, Make A Wish, Citrix, Jewish National Fund, and Cystic Fibrosis Leading Men Gala, just to name a few. Danny has not only donated his delicious food, but he has also donated his expertise as a chef to organizations like the March of Dimes, the Arthritis Foundation and has fed the homeless on many occasions.
Danny is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, and prior to this attended Barry University. Danny lives in Parkland with his wife Angie of 15 years and his two sons, Danny Jr. 14 and Carmine 9, his three most precious accomplishments! |

Angie Scarfone has been in the hospitality industry for over 23 years. She has built a solid reputation and as earned herself a credible position within South Florida's business and for not-for-profit groups alike, as someone you can go to when it's time to have a bash or raise money for a worthy cause.
Angie was born in Washington DC, and grew up in the famous Normandy Farm Restaurant in Potomac, Maryland, which her family owned and operated for 25 years and is still popular today. She is married to Danny Scarfone, a talented Chef and restaurateur, who was recently recognized by the March of Dimes as a Star Chef. Danny and Angie have two adorable sons, Carmine 8 and Danny Jr. 13. Angie also volunteers at her children's school whenever she can fit it into her hectic schedule. She is one of 7 children and enjoys visiting her large family in the Washington area, eating her husbands delicious cooking, and going to sporting games her kids are involved with.
She graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and a minor in Economics. She began her career in 1983 at the Bethesda Marriott Hotel, while attending George Washington University for post graduate work. Marriott knew they had a bright and talented employee and promoted her to Florida to open the Biscayne Bay Marriott Hotel. She continued her success with Radisson, Hilton and Sheraton Hotels. After a 5 year hiatus from the Catering/Hotel business, Angie was the Executive Director of the Arthritis Foundation for Broward County and has since returned in the last 5 years to help her husband in their catering/restaurant business at the beautiful Design Center Of The Americas; Bistro D Restaurant and Catering and Palm Café at DCOTA.
She has been involved with many charitable causes throughout her career. One in particular was the University of Miami Sylvester Cancer Center, where she put on entire event by herself and raised over $50,000. She has planned and executed hundreds of events over her 23 year career. Angie is a dynamic women, mother and wife and is ready at any given moment to create an affair to remember!
